We have lived in China 5 years and stayed many places but this place is the best. The setting in the hutongs is wonderful and it is very convenient for visiting other places. The rooms are very well done with very nice beds, decorations and other furniture. The staff are friendly and helpful. I stongly recommend this unique place to other people.

来过三次，每一次感觉都不同，第一次进门后心里倏然一爽，奇怪一扇门怎么可以隔开这么多东西；第二次下着雨，有点恍惚，院里的树和窗后的纱都不真实，所以尽管那天人不少，有说有笑，但总觉得站在门外看比较好，就出去在巷子里走，于是看到了迷濛中的钟鼓楼和环绕在四周的袅袅轻雾，还是不真实；今天，坐在院里喝茶聊天，心里特别安宁，才真正细品主人在细节上的心思，书画酒以及所有喜欢的深刻的颜色，有点感动，想说。

在四合院里住的每一天，我都很享受。闲暇时，坐在院子的藤椅里，看书、发呆、晒太阳，或者和朋友在地下室品品茶，听听民乐，真是感到快慰。有机会来北京我还会再来吉庆堂。

Highly Recommended. A taste of the vanishing old Beijing, tucked away in a Hutong lane, beautifully restored, lovely friendly service, beautiful food, a Unique experience. An experience that should not be missed by both foreign visitors and Beijing residents.
